Halloween Tutorial

For those of you who are still looking for a halloween-make-up, here is my suggestion: kind of spooky Cleopatra-look. I've chosen Cleopatra because it is all about make up and really easy to do it by yourself. Here you have a step by step instruction:

Für alle die noch kein Halloween-Make-Up haben, hier mein Vorschlag: einen etwas unheimlichen Kleopatra-Look. Ich habe mich für Kleopatra entschieden, da sich bei diesem Look alles ums Make-Up dreht und er ist wirklich einfach zum nachschminken. Hier ist eine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung:

Pour ceux entre vous qui n'ont toujours pas un maquillage de Halloween, voilà ma suggestion: un look de Cléopâtre un peut spooky. J'ai choisi Cléopâtre par ce que pour ce look le maquillage est dans le centre et c'est vraiment facile de le faire vous même. Voilà une petite instruction étape par étape:

-  First put on the foundation

- Zuerst Make-Up auftragen

- D'abord mettez le fond de teint

- Then shape your eyebrows with a black pencil and extend the ends

- Dann mit einem schwarzen Stift die Augenbrauen nachziehen und nach hinten verlängern

- Après vous tracez les sourcils avec un crayon noir et allongez-les vers la fin

- Now you encircle your eyes with the black pencil and join the end of the eyeliner with your eyebrow

- Jetzt umrandet die Augen mit dem schwarzen Stift und zieht das Ende des Lidstriches bis zur Augenbraue

- Maintenant faites le crayon noir autour de vos yeux et joindrez la fin de l'eye-liner avec les sourcils

- Fill in the space between your eyebrows and eye-liner with a blue colour

- Der Zwischenraum von Augenbrauen und Lidstrich wird mit Blau gefüllt

- Remplissez l'espace entre les Sourcils et l'eye-liner avec du bleu

- Draw above the black eye-liner a golden one

- Nun oberhalb des schwarzen Lidstriches noch einen goldenen ziehen

- Dessinez un eye-liner doré en haut du eye-liner noir

- Now shape the cheeks a little with a blush and set highlights with a shimmering powder above the blush, in the middle of the front and beginning of the nose as well as above your lips ( this gives a little mask-effect)

- Jetzt tragt etwas Rouge auf und setzt mit einem schimmernden Puder Highlights oberhalb des Rouges, in der Mitte der Stirn und an der Nasenwurzel, sowie auch oberhalb der Lippen (dies gibt einen maskenartigen Effekt)

- Maintenant faites un blush et accentuez avec une poudre brillante le haut du blush, le milieu du front et le début du nez et en haut des lèvres (ça donne un effet de masque)

- Now you just need a lipcolour, which I chose in a violet tone for a little "dead-effect" and your Halloween-make-up is finished 

- Es bleibt nur noch eine Lippenfarbe, welche ich in einem violetten  Ton gewählt habe um einen "Toten-effekt" zu erzeugen und fertig ist euer Halloween-Make-Up

- Il reste qu'un rouge à lèvres que j'ai choisi en violet pour recevoir un "effet mort" et votre maquillage de Halloween est fini

An other little bit more difficult Halloween-make-up would be a mexican skull, like I did it on my best friend last Halloween. Hair and make-up is not really easy but the result is worth it!

 Ein noch etwas aufwändigeres Halloween-Make-Up wäre ein mexikanischer Totenkopf, so wie ich es letztes Halloween bei meiner besten Freundin geschminkt habe. Frisur und Make-Up sind zwar nicht ganz einfach doch dafür ist das Ergebnis die Mühe wert!

Un autre maquillage de Halloween un peu plus difficile est une tête de mort mexicaine, comme je l'avais fait à ma meilleure amie le dernier Halloween. Coiffure et maquillage ne sont pas vraiment facile, mais le résultat est magnifique!

DIY Frida Kahlo make up tutorial

Frida Kahlo, a timeless icone and source of inspiration! So she was as well for this make-up tutorial which I did for the online magazine "miss outlet". If you want to try something new, this style for sure is going to be an eye-catch. For those who are less outgoing, it's always a good idea for a costume party or also halloween. Have fun with testing it!

Frida Kahlo ist eine zeitlose Ikone und immer wieder eine Inspirationsquelle! So war sie es auch bei diesem Make-Up-Tutorial vom Online-Magazin "miss outlet", für welches ich Haar & Make-Up gemacht habe. Falls ihr mal Lust auf etwas neues habt, mit diesem Look werdet ihr garantiert ein Hingucker sein. Wenn es euch allerdings etwas too much ist, könnt ihr den Look auch für eine Kostümparty oder auch für Halloween nehmen. Viel Spass beim ausprobieren!

Frida Kahlo est une icone intemporelle et souvent une source d'inspiration! Elle l'était aussi pour ce tutorial de maquillage que j'ai fais pour le online magazine "miss outlet". Si vous avez envie d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau, avec ce look là vous saurez surement le centre d'attention. Si c'est un peut trop pour une soirée normal, vous pouvez aussi l'utiliser pour une party de costume ou pour Halloween.  Amusez-vous bien de l'essayer!

Classical beauty-look

In autumn we're attending a lot of galas,  cocktail-parties and other events where you never can be wrong with a classical beauty-look. That's why I've chosen to create and show you my version of a typical beauty-look.
For this make-up I've shaped the outer part of the eye in a dark brown, the middle part in a softer brown and I enhanced  the inner eye corners with a bright gold tone. For a dramatic look I put on fake-lashes from MAC, which look very natural and give the wow-effect at the same time. The cheeks get just a little structure and then soften out to a tender blush. The lips are in a classic luminous red. If you think the lips are a little too strong because of the already pretty strong eyes, you can also take a nude lip-colour. That gives more of a Victoria's Secret-look.
With the hair a made a casual queue in a undone-look, to break the look a little, so he doesn't seem too sleek.


Im Herbst und im Winter gibt es viele Veranstaltungen zu Galas, Cocktail-Parties oder anderen Soirées, da kann man mit einem klassischen Make-Up nie daneben greifen. Deswegen habe ich mich entschieden meine Version eines typischen Beauty-Looks zu kreieren und euch zu zeigen.
Für dieses Make-Up habe ich die Augen aussen dunkelbraun, in der Mitte etwas heller und die inneren Augenwinkel mit einem strahlend hellen Goldton versehen. Für einen dramatischen Augenaufschlag habe ich fake-lashes von MAC genommen, welche sehr natürlich wirken, aber trotzdem einen Wow-Effekt geben. Die Wangen werden nur etwas strukturiert und sanft verblendet. Die Lippen in einem klassisch leuchtendem rot. Wem die roten Lippen etwas zu gewagt sind zu dem nicht ganz unauffälligen Augen-Make-Up, kann auch gerne einen nude-farbenen Lippenstift nehmen. Das gibt dem ganzen mehr einen Victoria's Secret-Look.
Die Haare habe ich zu einem lockeren Zopf geflechtet, ein bisschen "unedone", um den Look ein bisschen zu brechen. Somit wirkt er nicht zu sleek.

Coutume Café Paris

There are a lot of really nice coffee places in Paris, but this one was so cute that I thought it is worth a post. Also because it's a little hidden. The name of the charming place is "Coutume Café" and it is at 47 Rue de Babylone in the 7th arrondissement, metro station Saint-François-Xavier. The nice decorated pace reminds a little bit of a swedish coffee-house. The coffee and the fresh squeezed orange juice taste great and most of the food is organic and as far as I tasted delicious. Also very heartwarming  and unfortunately rare to find in Paris was the super nice waiters.

In Paris gibt es viele hübsche Cafés, doch dieses hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich fand es ist ein Post wert. Vorallem auch, da es eher etwas versteckt liegt. Sein Name ist "Coutume Café" und es liegt an der 47 Rue de Babylone im 7. Arrondissement, Métrostation  Saint-François-Xavier. Das hübsch eingerichtete Café erinnert ein bisschen an eine schwedische Tee-Stube. Der Kaffe und der frisch gepresste Orangensaft schmecken vorzüglich und fast alle Back- und Esswaren sind biologisch. Soweit ich sie bereits gekostet habe schmecken sie sehr lecker. Das Sahnehäubchen war das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, was leider eine Seltenheit in Paris ist.

Il y a beaucoup de jolis cafés à Paris, mais celui-là était tellement mignon que j'ai pensé il faut que je fesait un post pour lui. Aussi par ce que c'est un peut caché. Le nom de ce café charmant est "Coutume Café" et il est à 47 Rue de Babylone dans le 7ème arrondissement, métro Saint-François-Xavier. La décoration jolie me rappelle un peut à un café suedois. Le café et le jus frais préssé sont formidable et presque tous les trucs à manger sont biologique. Le service est très gentille et malheureusement ça on ne trouve pas souvent à Paris.

Tested: Teint Couture from GIVENCHY

Now that I am in Paris I could finally test the new "Teint Couture" foundation from Givenchy. Unfortunately Givenchy isn't available in Zurich. I have to admit I am impressed, I didn't think that I would like it that much.

The texture is very comfortable and light. The make-up melts perfectly with the skin tone, there are no make-up-boarders or "mask-effect". The skin looks naturally fresh and very even. Like most of the make-ups it has a sunscreen and hydrates the skin. 

So if you're looking for a new foundation, I can totally recommend to try it!

Jetzt da ich wieder in Paris bin, konnte ich endlich das neue Make-Up von Givenchy "Teint Couture" ausprobieren. Leider ist Givenchy in Zürich nicht mehr erhältlich. Ich muss ehrlich zugeben, ich sehr positiv überrascht. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass mir das Mal-Up so gut gefallen würde.

Die Konsistenz des Make-Ups ist sehr angenehm und leicht. Es zerschmilzt perfekt mit der Haut und gibt keine Make-Up-Ränder oder "Masken-Effekt". Der Teint wirkt frisch und sehr ebenmässig. Wie die meisten heutigen Make-Ups hat es einen Sonnenschutzfaktor und ist gleichzeitig noch feuchtigkeitsspendend.

Also falls ihr auf der Suche nach einem neuen Make-Up seid, kann ich euch sehr empfehlen dieses mal auszuprobieren!

Comme je suis de nouveau à Paris, je pouvais finalement essayer le nouveau fond de teint de Givenchy "Teint Couture". À Zurich il n'y a plus Givenchy. Je dois admettre que je n'avais pas pensé que je le vais tellement aimer.

La texture est très confortable et légère. Le fond de teint fond parfaitement  avec la peau et il n'y a pas des traces de fond de teint ou un "effet de masque". Le teint est frais et très joli. Comme presque tous les fonds de teints il a aussi une protection solaire et il est hydratant.

Alors si vous êtes à la recherche d'un nouveau fond de teint, je peux vraiment recommander d'essayer celui là!

Gucci-look with "The Vogue Word"

Hi guys, sorry for my lack of posting, I was really busy finding a new apartment in Paris, it's horrible! With all the searching I totally forgot to post the Gucci-look which I made with Vanessa from "The Vogue Word". We used the metallic eyes which Gucci made for this season for her "The little black sequin-dress" post. For this look you take a strong metallic eyeshadow, color of your choice, and put it in an almond form around your eyes. The rest of the make-up, including the lips are very nude. This combination gives a strong and at the same time tender look, love it!

Hallo zusammen, bitte entschuldigt meine lange Post-Pause ich war vollauf damit beschäftigt ein neues Apartment in Paris zu finden. Vor lauter Suchen habe ich völlig vergessen diesen Gucci-Look zu posten welchen ich zusammen mit Vanessa von "The Vogue Word" geshootet habe. Für ihren Post "The little black sequin-dress"  haben wir uns für die metallic-Augen entschieden, welche Gucci für diese Saison vorgeführt hat. Für diesen Look braucht es nur einen starken metallic-Lidschatten, Farbe nach Belieben, welchen man mandelförmig um die Augen aufträgt. Der Rest des Make-Ups ist nude gehalten, inklusive Lippenfarbe. Diese Kombination ergibt einen starken und gleichzeitig zarten Look, was ich toll finde!

Coucou tous le monde, désolée pour ma pause de posts, mais j'ai galéré à trouver un appartement à Paris. À cause de ça j'ai complètement oublié de poster le Gucci-look que j'avais fait avec Vanessa de "The Vogue Word". On a pris les yeux métallique qui Gucci a fait pour cette saison pour son post "The little black sequin-dress". Pour ce look il vous faut un fard à paupillère métallique, couleur de vos choix. Vous le mettez autour de vos yeux en forme d'une amande. Le reste du maquillage est nude, aussi les lèvres. Cette combinaison donne un look très fort et au même temps tendre, j'adore ça!
